[[It's a rather pleasant day in Violet City. Major Armstrong, having explored the Bell Tower and other surrounding areas, has decided to take a break underneath a tree in a quiet area of town. With him are his two Pokemon. Ben the Geodude and Maa the Pidgey, along with three Pokemon eggs sitting in his bag.

He's wrapped them tightly in his spare clothes and towel, and positioned the bag near his (beautifully sparkly hot) body to ensure they stay warm in the chilly weather.]]

Ah, I haven't practiced like this in a while.

[[He's referring to the sketchpad propped up against his knee, where a rather good likeness of his Geodude and Pidgey is forming. While excellent at portraits, Armstrong is out of practice with other forms of drawing, and as such sketching his Pokemon is doing his hand a world of good.

When the picture is close to being finished, his Geodude strikes a pose while his Pidgey flutters over and seats herself on his head, pecking gently at his curl while she examines the picture.]]

[It's been quite some time since Kimblee has seen Armstrong in person; seven years or so, if he isn't mistaken. It wasn't unusual to see the Major with tears in his eyes back then, but such things had come from a different source entirely; though Kimblee hadn't witnessed the entire...conversation, if it could be called that, between Armstrong and his Pokémon, there obviously isn't displeasure here.

Kimblee has no difficulty approaching others; that hasn't changed. Just the same, he keeps a reasonable amount of distance between them for now, watching in silence for a moment; he's holding the zencone in his arms, pressed against his jacket - it seems to be picking up on the copious happyvibes as well, given that it's doing something that's...best described as kittyfacing at everything, despite the fact that for the most part it lacks an entirely discernible face.]

[[It takes Armstrong a moment to notice Kimblee, even with his rather noticable outfit; his attention is completely focused on his Pokemon, and the way Maa is happily bouncing on his forearm. Ah, what a truly lovely...

[[His initial reaction is similar to the one he had when they first came into contact through the video feed, but it's more palpable now that....well. They're in person. Instinctively, his free arm moves to rest on that clutch of Pokemon eggs.

Despite all this, however, he manages to pull himself together in an admirable amount of time, considering the circumstances.]]
