I have a marvel for you all today! My beautiful Stein has evolved into his final form!

[[And suddenly, popping up in front of the camera is....

....a swan in a purple bra. A sparkly purple bra.]]

Witness the way the sunlight catches his glossy feathers! The way the light sparkles across his wings! Have you ever seen such a magnificent sight, Johto?!

[[As Armstrong speaks, the Swanna goes through a series of triumphant poses. And if one looks closely, they might even see some....pink sparkles near his eyes? Could he have learned the art of the Armstrong sparkle, passed down in the Major's family for generations?]]

My Pokemon are now all in their final forms! And so I pose this question to you, noble viewers; what Gyms do you recommend we take on? We have been training our bodies firmly and dutifully in preparation for this day!

[[And behind him, Armstrong's team of Pokemon sit quietly, mostly looking amused at his display. Some look annoyed, but more at the Swanna's posing rather than their trainer.]]

Have you caught any more pokemon?

Yes, I managed to catch one of those owls. It's a definite improvement from what I started with, at the very least.

That's the spirit! The beginning is tough for everyone, but you've just got to stick with it!

I'm confident you'll do just fine!

Ah, two is it? I've heard they're quite challenging; you must have very powerful Pokemon!

[[And he's sincere; he's legitimately impressed!]]

I'm sure it will get less intolerable at some point. I suspect I've been having more bad luck than anything else.

Even if you have, don't let it overwhelm you ! I'm positive you'll be able to find a home in the world of Pokemon here.

For now, just aim to assemble a good team!

I'm sure I would be able to, but I really have no intention of staying here any longer than necessary. I've been given the impression that we are returned to the same point in time that we were at when we left, but I don't want to take any chances on that impression being wrong.

...On that front... are there any particular Pokemon I should be looking for? I've noticed that some have very... niche uses.

I believe that depends on what sort of Pokemon you like! I honestly picked out my team on a bit of a whim, but if you had a specialty back home, then work with that!

For example, one of my friends was a user of fire-based alchemy where we come from, so the majority of his Pokemon are of the Fire type! And my alchemy is based around reshaping the earth, so my first Pokemon has the ability to create Earthquakes! It's quite fantastic!

That sort of thing!

["Young... Mr..." Wha...]

--Just Crow is fine. [Which time is it that he has to tell somebody that...] Yeah, you could say that! After all, I've beaten all Johto gyms already! [Brb boasting.]

Yup, I do! He sure is something. Not to mention he seems to be the only of his kind round these parts! [Crow pauses, raising an eyebrow on the bird's performance. There are a few types of personalities the duelist's not fond of, one of those being holier-than-thou princes.] ... Although, he could probably work on his attitude a bit.

I admit, I do spoil him a bit!

[[And he'll just scratch Stein's stomach while the Swanna pretends that he totally isn't enjoying it.]]

But as a trainer with so many badges under his belt, you must understand how I feel when it comes to spoiling your Pokemon!

That makes sense enough. It's better to work with the sorts of things you already know...

[Which is to say he TOTALLY DOESN'T, but if you think about it, he's completely spoiled nearly every Pokémon that he's been raising from the egg... except most of them had enough common sense on their own not to let that get it to their heads too much.]

Nothing wrong with that, as long as you know the limits! [... Just don't ask him, he's got no clue what those might be.]

All of mine are at level 87 with the exception of Kira, who is at level 29.
