MISSION 006 [VIDEO/ACTION FOR VIOLET CITY]

[[Hello and welcome to another fantastically manly Alex Louis Armstrong broadcast! Today, we're starting with a scintillating view of our (shirtless, of course) hero, standing just on the outskirts of Violet City.

Faced with a snarling Garchomp.

...make that a snarling and charging Garchomp, as the beast rockets forward, claws out, ready to barrel into Armstrong....!

...who promptly moves to the side with speed that a man of his size simply shouldn't possess, lightly knocking the Garchomp's strikes away with his fists. Screeching, she pivots sharply and swings her tail toward him, but that too is avoided with apparent ease. Tensing, Armstrong lands a good uppercut on the Garchomp's chin before finishing with a firm strike to her chest. The Garchomp, stunned, crashes to the ground, prompting her trainer to laugh loudly.]]

Your technique is improving, Zahna! A few more sessions like this and even I, Alex Louis Armstrong, will stand no chance against you!

[[Harsh demeanor gone, the (obviously unhurt; Armstrong isn't aiming to injure) Garchomp pushes herself to her feet, looking at her trainer with wide, almost reverent eyes, nodding at everything he's saying. It's clear, however, that she doesn't quite believe she'll ever be able to beat him in battle.

Turning back to the camera, Armstrong moves to switch off the feed, but behind him Zahna sneaks forward, obviously seeing if a sneak attack will work. She leaps....!

....and is immediately intercepted and hurled over Armstrong's shoulder, landing off-screen with a rather firm thud.]]

Attacking a man from behind is not honourable, my dear!

[holy

mother

of god

me fucking gusta tbh]

Mm, closer to Strength than Will, then - though given your physique I suppose that was to be expected - ah, but that's beside the point entirely, isn't it? This place has such a hideous little habit of ridding us all of our natural talents...

[pout...ing...he is most definitely pouting for a moment before he's back to being Up To Eleven again]

At any rate, that sounds most amazing; consider me impressed. And just for the sake of reference, my darling, just a bit of advice - don't ever say that's not interesting; you're selling yourself almost obscenely short.

What can I say? I rather like powerful men.

[Yes, yes, he's very nice indeed; just be glad the screen on this thing is small enough to dull the effect of that incredibly predatory look in his eyes.]

As for those talents of mine, they fortunately haven't been stripped entirely - although I suppose certain things can't be removed, thank the powers that be. What's been removed from me is the way I tend to utilize those talents - I specialize in ranged weaponry, you see, guns and the like.

[Oh, he laughs a bit at that, though the sound is a quiet one.]

A case of some of us being a bit more equal than others, really. At any rate, I was informed of the situation regarding our weapons almost immediately upon arriving on this godforsaken rock - another thing I plan to rectify, should the opportunity present itself. I have to admit curiosity regarding these gauntlets of yours, however; are they necessary for the...

[...ges...turing, there is a lot of aimless gesturing for a moment there]

...the alchemy, or whatever it is that you do? I've never heard that term used quite in this context, or in the context that our dear friend Kimblee tends to use it, it's completely different where I'm from...although we do have...

[He trails off for a moment, clearly lost in thought, before shaking his head and making a bit of a tch sound, pulling himself back into the conversation.

...he does that once in a while; get used to it, because he definitely plans on speaking to you further after this.]

Ah, but anyway. The gauntlets...?

[Oh, come now, he allows people to talk about themselves once in a while if the topic is interesting enough - admittedly, he's usually only pretending to care, but this is actually legitimately interesting. (...that said, he would prefer it if you managed to hold your feels and keep any and all tears in your head, should they threaten to start.)

As it stands, however, he'll actually let you finish all that without interjecting; he leans forward a bit, clearly intrigued, particularly once the drawing starts. He moves a bit after a while, shifting his grip on that cane of his and toying with it a bit, though the gesture is just there to give himself something to do while he considers, not a sign of boredom; he's always been more than a bit fidgety and staying still through all that is quite simply not going to happen.]

That really is fascinating, believe me...back in Albion, we have three Heroic disciplines - the Strength and Will that I mentioned earlier, as well as Skill. Strength is fairly obvious, encompassing both physical prowess and heightened abilities when using weapons such as swords, axes or hammers designed for battle; Will is best described as magic use, and Skill is increased speed and dexterity, as well as heightened abilities with firearms. What you describe as alchemy actually corresponds to those disciplines rather well; you would likely be considered a rather powerful Hero of Strength, as Albion goes, and from what I've heard about Kimblee, he favors Will...it's very interesting indeed, the other instances of magic that I've discussed with others aren't nearly as close to what I'm used to, but this...well.

Let's say that should this place see fit to return your abilities to you, you really will have to demonstrate these powers of yours for me.

[...no, no, he definitely is one, trust him on this.]

Well! I certainly won't say no to that; I'll have you know now that I tend to be a bit picky about anything made in my image, but somehow I doubt you'll disappoint me, my dear.

As for that assumption of yours, you're rather correct; not everyone that's good with weaponry qualifies, mind you, it takes a certain sort, but I'm considered a Hero as well - not something I broadcast normally, but since you've been so wonderfully forthcoming, I suppose I don't see why not, in this circumstance.

[...he'll explain it to you eventually, he's sure; however, Heroic does not necessarily equal Good.

And "a little bizarre" is certainly one way of putting it, isn't it! ...good lord, what has this conversation become.]

Oh, it would be quite the shame to not show you - after all, you seem to understand not wanting to deprive others of the beauty of your talents~

But for now, unfortunately, I'm afraid I have to cut this lovely conversation a bit short - I'm a busy man and all. Things to do, people to see, et cetera.

[...and vice versa tbh]
